Fire Proof Relationships
How many of you saw the movie Fire Proof? If you have not yet seen the movie I would highly suggest buying the DVD. In fact, I believe we will be showing the movie at the church sometime this month. Being married now for 8 and 1/2 months I am an expert on relationships. YEA RIGHT!!!!!! I WISH!!!!!!!!. In those 8 month I have learned one thing and that is that prayer works. Sometimes it is the only thing that works. Not just praying for when things go wrong but praying together, for meals, before bed, in the car, and whenever you get a chance. There is something about the prayer times that Tausha and I spend together that are very special. This month, as the whole nation focuses on Valentines Day and relationships what are some of the ways that you use to develop Godly relationships with both your husband or wife and with your closest friends. Please add a comment and be sure to check back often to see what others in our church are doing to keep their relationships growing.

New Years Resolutions
Do you realize that 80 to 90% of New Years Resolutions fall through within the first two weeks. WITHIN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS. That is astonishing to me but it just shows how hard it is to change. Especially when it comes to habits we have grown acustomed to over the years. Throughout this month and especially in the next couple of days please list some practical ways to accomplish our New Years Resolutions or maybe just some ways to get us into February.

Family Christmas Traditions
I figured I would start with a simple topic that I believe will be very encouraging to our church and that is Family Christmas Traditions. I recently went to the Tod Agnew Concert last week and each member of the band told of their family traditions. They talked about the food, the caroling, and the different activities, but what was most striking was when they talked about the different ways their families made Jesus the center of their family gatherings. Tod spoke of how they actually made a Birthday cake for Jesus when he was growing up. I know that sounds crazy but think of how that would remind a child of what Christmas is all about. He also spoke of having to memorize the Christmas Story out of Luke before he could open any presents. If you have any family traditions that make Christmas that much more memorable for you or if you have some practical ways to remind our children and ourselves that the True meaning of Christmas is in the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ than please add a comment to this post.
