New Years Resolutions
Do you realize that 80 to 90% of New Years Resolutions fall through within the first two weeks. WITHIN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS. That is astonishing to me but it just shows how hard it is to change. Especially when it comes to habits we have grown acustomed to over the years. Throughout this month and especially in the next couple of days please list some practical ways to accomplish our New Years Resolutions or maybe just some ways to get us into February.

I think that putting your resolutions on your personal prayer list is one way to help you keep on track. Hey, maybe making a personal prayer list is a good resolution. How many people resolved to draw closer to God this year? If most resolutions fail within two weeks and we all resolved to draw closer to God this year, maybe we need to look at our prayer life. Do we have a prayer life? Is it lacking? Or is it flourishing?
ReplyDeletePutting resolutions on a prayer list is a great idea. The idea is so simple but yet so profound. One of the resolutions God has lead me to pray for is movement both in my personal relationship with God and in the church. That we would constantly be moving closer to God and that we would avoid getting caught in a spiritual rut. I have been having some plumbing problems in our house and clearing clogged drains and water lines is not pretty, neither is clearing out the things that clog up our spiritual life. I pray that God would give us movement this year.
